The last ticket, here, which was bought on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023, is the third largest Powerball ticket at $1.08 billion.

There were two times the Golden State shared the spotlight with other states. Those two times were both during the month of January. The first time was on January 5, 2022, when a person from the state of Washington shared the winnings of the $632.6 million Powerball ticket with a person from California. The second time was on January 13, 2016, when folks from Florida and Tennessee shared the winnings of the second largest Powerball ticket, $1.586 billion, with a person from California.
